Zucchini Iskander F1

Iskander F1 zucchini will be a pleasant discovery for those gardeners who have not yet planted it on their plots. This variety of zucchini is distinguished not only by its taste and yield, but also by its absolute undemanding care.

Variety characteristics

Iskander zucchini is an early hybrid variety Dutch selection... Zucchini of this hybrid is capable of setting even at low temperatures. Their first crop can be harvested in 45-50 days. Zucchini are unremarkable in appearance. Cylindrical fruits have an average length of up to 20 cm and a weight of up to 600 grams. Their thin waxy skin of a pale green color is covered with barely noticeable light streaks and specks. The delicate white pulp of the fruit has excellent taste characteristics.

Advice! In order for the shape of the zucchini not to deform as it grows, you need to tie up the bushes.

Compact bushes of the hybrid Iskander variety are distinguished by their yield. Each of them is capable of setting up to 17 kg of fruits. It occupies a leading place in the fruiting period. You can harvest from its bushes until the first autumn frosts. In addition, Iskander F1 is not afraid of powdery mildew and anthracosis.

Growing recommendations

The only thing worth paying attention to when choosing this variety is the composition of the soil. It should be light and neutral in acidity. The best predecessors for it will be:

  • potato;
  • radish;
  • bow.
Important! Many sources indicate that zucchini cannot be planted in one place for several years in a row. This is only true if the land is not fertilized.

Plants will extract useful substances from it, and when planted next year, the land will be poor. If you fertilize the zucchini plot annually, then there will be no problems with planting.

The bushes of this hybrid can be grown in two ways:

  1. Through seedlings, they are grown a month before planting in the ground, that is, in April.
  2. Landing directly into the open ground. In this case, zucchini seeds should be embedded in the soil in May - June to a depth of 5 cm. To increase germination, it is better to cover the seeds with a film for the first time.

It responds well to loosening the soil. It should be produced no more than 2 times a week. Harvesting can begin in late June as the fruit ripens.

Testimonials

Maria, 50 years old, Tula
I don't really like planting hybrids, because you can't harvest seeds from them. And then I decided to try the Iskander F1 zucchini. The reviews about him were already very good. There were only 5 seeds in the bag - for a sample it was just that, but, in general, not enough. I planted them, along with other seeds, immediately on the garden bed. Everything has risen! Tidy bushes quickly formed and fruit set. The variety impressed me with its harvest. I even had to distribute, since besides it, I planted other varieties. The fruits taste great, very tender. Definitely, I will take more!

Mikhail, 57 years old, Voronezh
I have been planting it for 5 years already. It bears excellent fruit and does not require special care. The fruits grow so much that they have to distribute to the neighbors. I recommend.

Olga, 44 years old, Astrakhan

  1. This species is also susceptible to powdery mildew disease. All 10 bushes got sick in me. The bushes were not processed by anything.
